Of course, this is only an option if you are able to be cordial enough to work with your spouse on some potentially contentious issues, such as child support and child custody.

Summary divorce

There are summary divorce options available, though not all people will qualify. It is meant for people who do not have any children or dependents and relatively few assets and debts who have been married for a shorter period of time. This process requires less paperwork than a standard divorce, and takes less time.
