Mr. Widman, Jr., Esq., received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a minor in computer Science from the State University of New York at Old Westbury. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Jacob D. Fuchsburg Law Center at Touro College; and graduated cum laude with four (4) CALI Awards for Academic Excellence.

Prior to joining Bryan L. Salamone & Associates, P.C., Mr. Widman spent a number of years as a solo practitioner and of counsel for several prestigious general practice law firms; with a concentration in Matrimonial and Family Law, Child Support, Custody and Visitation, and Family Offense Petitions. Mr. Widman also has experience with Foreclosure Defense and general Civil Litigation.

Prior to his career as an attorney, Mr. Widman had a successful twenty-five-year career within the Banking and Financial Services Industry. During his previous career, Mr. Widman gained experience as a licensed Financial Planner with Prudential Securities, where he guided clients in managing their retirement and financial assets. He also held several Corporate Vice President positions within the Education & Development divisions of such prestigious financial institutions as Dime Savings Bank, Prudential Securities and Citi Group; where his responsibilities included researching, developing and designing numerous curriculum for legal compliance training programs within Mortgage and Banking Compliance Law, Human Resources and Employment Law, and Securities Law.

Mr. Widman has served as the Legal Adviser for the South Shore Power Squadron and for District 3 of the United States Power Squadron. He is a current member of the American Bar Association; the New York Bar Association as a member of the Family Law Committee, the Real Property Law committee and the Young Lawyers Committee; the Suffolk County Bar Association, and both the Nassau County and Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Associations.

Mr. Widman’s strengths in managing clients’ matrimonial and family court cases with a personal touch come from combining his previous experience with various areas of law, his experience with complex personal financial situations, his attention to detail, and his writing ability in drafting and preparing effective legal documents; with his experience in and client specific approach to Matrimonial and Family Law.
