Biography
Matthew Klopman, Esq. earned his B.A. from LIU Post, where he majored in Political Science. He earned his juris doctorate from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. In his role as associate attorney, Mr. Klopman focuses on matrimonial and family law, representing clients in matters involving custody, visitation, orders of protection, and divorce. He approaches each case with a clear understanding that family law is not just legal, it is personal, high stakes, and often emotionally charged. His role is to bring clarity, strategy, and steady advocacy when clients need it most.
Mr. Klopman previously served as a staff attorney with a Legal Aid organization, where he practiced in the Domestic Violence Bureau. In that role, he represented clients in sensitive and urgent matters involving orders of protection, custody disputes, and family offenses. He regularly handled high pressure courtroom appearances and developed a strong command of both litigation strategy and client advocacy in emotionally complex situations.
